  • The Space Refresh takes the approach of organizing by location. It is best for organizing one or two areas of your home. We will begin with a good decluttering session before moving onto creating organization systems.

    The KonMari Method® is a holistic approach that will transform how you view your personal belongings. This process is ideal for someone who feels completely overwhelmed by their home and and wants a deep change. During this process, we will tidy by category, not location. There are five categories: Clothing, Books, Paper, Komono (miscellaneous), and Sentimental.

  • It is difficult to estimate how long a space will take to organize. There are so many factors that affect the length of the process

    • the size of the space

    • the amount of items to sort through

    • how quickly you make decisions

    • whether you plan to purchase new organizing product or repurpose existing product

    • how much homework you complete between sessions

    Some of these factors remain unknown until we actually start digging into your space, however, after our in-home consultation, I can give you an idea of which package might best fit your needs.

  • That is entirely up to you.* You can be as much involved or not involved as you would like/can be. This is something we will discuss during our in-home consultation. Each person’s situation is unique, so I will personalize it to your individual needs and preferences. The only time it is critical for you to be present is during the simplifying phase - deciding what to keep, discard, donate. However, here are a two possible scenarios:

    • Hands On - You want to be present for the entire project from start to finish.

    • Hybrid - I sort items into piles for easier keep/discard decision-making. You are present for the decision-making session regarding those sorted piles. I then organize the items you decide to keep.

    *For the KonMari® Method, it is crucial that you are involved during the entire process.

  • No, please do not! I will always enter your house with zero-judgement and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all of our time together. I am here to help you organize your space and seeing that space in its natural state allows me to see how that space is used by you, where items naturally land, and what areas to address. In short, not tidying up before home consultation and sessions will help me personalize organization systems to work for you.

  • You will be invoiced prior to service and payment is due in full before the start of your first session. I will invoice you via my client portal and accept credit cards as payment for organizing sessions.

  • There is rarely an instance where you absolutely need to purchase organizing products. I understand we all need to live within our means and not being able to purchase product should never prevent you from investing in a professional organizer. I can be creative with your existing organizing products and make it work. However, sometimes purchasing some key baskets, bins, or shelves can make all the difference in the end result.

    If you decide to invest organizing products, your package does include my time spent researching the best products for your needs and sourcing that product. All products that you decide to have me purchase will be invoiced and paid for separately from the session package.

  • We will schedule your first session after your in-home consultation. If you purchase a package with multiple sessions, we may schedule all the sessions before starting.

  • Your privacy and confidentiality are highly important to me. My work with you is completely confidential.

  • I only use before and after photos with permission. In the contract there is a section to allow or disallow before and after photos to be used. No personal information will ever be shared - my work with you is completely confidential.

  • I am fully vaccinated and boosted as is everyone in my household.

    We may forego masks, however, Katie will happily wear a mask if requested by the client.
